Session information:
My goal is to create a relaxed, pressure-free environment for you and your family. I want to capture you at your most natural and spontaneous moments. I do everything I can to make the experience fun and carefree. I work almost 100% with natural light for outdoor sessions, in natural settings where you can relax, play, and forget I am there. I will be snapping away freely, capturing eyes, feet, laughter, love, silliness, and pure joy.
What to Expect:
I do my best to customize your session to your personal needs. Whether it be scheduling a morning session for a fresh and rested newborn, or an evening shoot to ensure that your entire family is available, I do my best to work around naps, meals, and busy work schedules. Your session will last from 30 minutes – 3 hours, depending on location & type of portraiture. You can expect one on one attention for everyone in the shoot. My goal is to provide you with a wide variety of shots to choose from that best showcase your personality. Candid shots are my favorite images and likely the ones you will cherish the most!
When Booking:
After we decide on a date and time, a non-refundable retainer is due to reserve your spot. Upon request, we will have a phone or email consultation about posing, clothing and other ideas regarding your session. Due to availability, spots will only be held for 3 day without payment of the retainer and signed contract. Balance for the session is due 10 days prior to session date. *Family session include up to 5 persons, each additional person is $25
After Our Session:
About 2-3 days after your session, we will have a scheduled date to hand select your favorites at the studio from your session. At this session, you will see your unedited images for the first time. I will sit with you and assist with selecting your favorite captures, this is also the time for all decisions and ordering. I have product samples so that you can see and touch everything before you buy. Need help figuring out what to put on your walls? Don’t worry, I help navigate exactly what image will fit well together and what size fits your space. There are no online galleries and no overwhelming task of navigating the gallery alone. Every step of your custom photography experience will be stress-free. In the end, you will have beautiful pictures to cherish for years to come. From session to delivery, I spend between 10-15 hours working with you to make sure every detail is to your liking. Please allow roughly one week for standard print portrait orders and 2 weeks for custom or specialty items.
What Should I Wear:
A question I get a lot is “what should we wear?” And why shouldn’t you ask!? After all these will be cherish memories and you would like to look good in them, especially when you hang that canvas on your living room wall. I think the most important thing I can say when picking an outfit is ‘Be Yourself’. It is easy to wear all white or all of another color (and there is nothing wrong with that if you go that route) but you want to take a step back and make sure your outfit reflects who you are. Do you wear a lot of jewelry? Do you like scarves? I strongly suggest working with those you will be photographed with to create a color concept. Pick 3 colors and add texture to your outfit by layering with scarves, jewelry, bow tie, cardigans etc. Color is good. Patterns are great. It’s okay to mix and match a bit. You can mix stripes, plaids and even polka dots – gasp! Have fun with it, just be you!

Can I book my session and pay the retainer later:
Retainer is required to secure session date. Session dates and times will only be held for up to 3 days without a retainer. After the 3 day grace period, the date and time becomes available again and may be booked by another party.
I heard your camera clicking hundreds of photos, will I get every one of them:
No. I take multiple photos to ensure I don’t miss the shot due to someone blinking, a passerby in the distance etc. For this reason I only choose the best of those images and put them in your gallery. It is my job to provide high quality images rather than providing quantity.
What if it rains or I need to cancel:
Weather plays a large role in a photographers life. Should the weather not cooperate with our session date and time you will be given the option to reschedule your session with no penalty. If a reschedule is not possible, you will be given a refund of your retainer. Please note weather cancellations are at the discretion of Stevie Cruz Photography. If you need to cancel your session for personal reasons, please do so at least 5 days prior to the session date. Failure to give notice of a cancellation will result in a non-refundable retainer due to my need to schedule childcare and loss of opportunity to schedule other family bookings.

All images are the exclusive copyright and property of Stevie Cruz Photography. All Digital Files are sized to be printed 8*10. Large format prints should be ordered direct from Photographer. “Stevie Cruz Photography” recommends www.mpix.com for high quality consumer level prints. Portrait session images may not be reproduced, altered or published without permission. Copyright infringement is unlawful. The images from photo sessions may be used for marketing purposes, including on my personal and Facebook Fan page, company blog and website. They may also be used in various print and advertising materials at the discretion of Stevie Cruz Photography and its owners. By submitting your session fee and participating in your session you agree to these terms and conditions.
