One reason why I started pursuing photography is because I really wanted to not only capture great photos of my kids and family but I wanted to get them off of my computer and into my hands. It breaks my heart that all of my photos I have of the kids as babies are primarily cell phone photos that I’ve just uploaded to a Facebook album. They’re low quality and really not good enough to get beautiful prints made. There’s just something really special about being able to hold and feel photos. I still love going over to a parent’s or grandparent’s home and pulling down albums to look through. Seeing our family from the start, reminiscing over long forgotten moments, seeing family members that have passed away before I was even born and hearing the stories behind the moments captured. That’s timeless. I don’t want to be 80 years old and have nothing but Facebook albums to tell the story of my family’s life. What about you?
