Awake Baby Pictures | Love Newborn Session

Awake Baby Pictures make for some cute captures! I mean just look at this sweet babies eyes. This little baby had such amazing focus for his newborn picture session. Newborn are typically very sleep or do no hold focus with their eyes but he had his own vision as to how the session would go. I love capturing Awake Baby Pictures because parents love them. Its not often parents have the chance to see into those eyes of wonder. Can you imagine what a baby is thinking as they stare into the world exploring for the first time? This sweet baby was 7 days old at the time of these pictures. What a perfect way to show who was boss right?

This makes me wonder would you prefer awake baby pictures or sleepy baby pictures if you were to hire me for your newborn portraits? Maybe a mix of both? I stress the importance of sleepy babies as they are more ‘mold-able’ and work for positioning into those squishy poses to show off their cute rolls as awake baby pictures are not possible in all the typical positioning since babies will squirm out. So should I continue to ask for sleepy babies or just roll with it?
