The first birthday is an important milestone in any baby’s life. This day, your baby is no longer an infant. Soon, people will start referring to your “toddler.” No matter how excited you are to see them grow, and proud that you yourself made through these first twelve months, the first birthday is a little bittersweet.
This is a major moment we want to remember- our little one smiling, crying, laughing, and celebrating life with pure joy. Little Jordan is such a sweet baby. I was honored to have the opportunity to capture his very first birthday with a special cake smash photo session.

A cake smash is always a thrilling experience. I’m never quite sure how the child will react. Hesitant at first, they usually hold back for a few moments. But, it never fails. Once comfortable, curiosity takes over. When Jordan realized he was free to make a mess, the fun of the cake smash really began. Look at that sweet face! I love that little Jordan gave us the full spectrum of emotion during this very special session.
