Orange County Photography Studio Pictures

Stevie Cruz Photography studio pictures are here for your enjoyment! Our photography studio has all the convenient amenities one could desire. We have large windows throughout the space allowing the beautiful sunny Southern California light to shine in. The warm and inviting atmosphere, comfortable sitting area and pretty space is perfectly suited for families!  The vision of a brightly natural lit space is all I dreamed about when I thought of opening my own photography studio in 2015.

I love that the studio is easily accessible to all of Southern California clients. Within the shopping center are amenities that clients can access such as ‘In and Out’ burger meals, delicious pizza or subs. In studio, I have a client lounge where they relax and watch TV while Im in session. This area is also used when we preview the images after the session.

Additionally, I love providing service for my clients such as maternity dresses or toddler clothing. Helping clients style their session takes so much ease off the new parents. I have a large clothing rack full of maternity clothing (gowns, skirts and tops), toddler clothing and newborn rompers. Clients have full access to any of these items when they book a session with me, this is just part of the service I offer to clients at no added cost.  Clients also have the option to add on Hair & Makeup to their session. This is a highly requested service most maternity clients opt into. The ‘Pampered Maternity Session’ has been a great way to focus on mom and help her glow before her session. Denise Ramirez is our exclusive stylist who travels to the studio for these sessions. She brings all the equipment necessary to pamper mom such as curling iron, blowdryer, makeup and lashes.

My vision for the studio was a clean, modern, white look. I wanted a simple decor that could easily been cleaned and ‘prettied’ up with images on the walls. I didn’t want the decor of the studio to overtake the beautiful art. Bright whites always attract my eye and the feeling of clean. I am a simplest at heart, with a less is more vision. I try hard to stay organized and remove all clutter from the space so clients can come in and simply focus on the session at hand. Most of my decor can be found at Home Goods, IKEA and World Market. I have both framed prints and beautiful canvases displayed in the photography studio.
In studio I shoot with both studio and natural window light. My studio light preference is an Einstein paired with the 86 PML. My vision is natural colors, simple and classic images. I use limited props so the image focus is primarily on the subject. My hope is to create timeless image that parents will cherish for years to come. The large windows are great for ‘fill’ light when I shoot using studio lights and they also work well for backlit images. I love using the natural light when I shoot on the white bed, natural light give such a pretty look to the images.
My newborn posing area is filled with everything I need. This includes a changing table for parents to use, lots of fabric backdrops, headbands, bonnets, pant-sets and so much more. I use a square posing beanbag and have it placed on a white IKEA coffee table to add height to the workspace. I realized early in my career how difficult it was for me to comfortably pose using the floor space with my beanbag. All bonnets and headbands are displayed using the IKEA Vidga tracking system. I love the simple look to this display. So enjoy these behind the scenes pictures:

I have these out for every session. behind the scenes newborn photographerorange county photography studioIn my client seating area, you can see a display with canvas prints of various sizes. This helps clients decide just what size their eye is drawn too when ordering product for their homes. I enjoy helping clients choose their wall art and keepsake albums. print sizing chartnewborn photography studiopackaging photography studio baby crib in studio

In studio I also use a white crib for milestone pictures of sweet babies. This is a beautiful set up for the little ones that are beginning to sit and stand unassisted. framed baby picturesbaby headband for picturesI have all the props any parent would desire for a simple newborn picture session. This includes: bonnets, pants, rompers, headbands, wraps, buckets and so much more. photography propsmaternity dressesMy client closet is filled with lots of options for moms and children alike. There are maternity dresses and tops, toddler rompers and dresses, little boy suspender sets, baby rompers and more. photography studio for baby picturesbright photography studio natural lightbaby headbands for picturesmaternity dress pictures photography coffee tablestevie cruz photographynewborn propsphotography props in studio

In studio I use 2 beanbags for posing newborns. This beanbag below is for my ‘simply white’  pictures of the natural baby. My husband  was in studio building a PVC stand to clip fabric. His vision is different than the traditional stand but it works well with the 2:3 ratio of my camera. This is a great solution for those with a round bag as the base keeps the bag from shifting and the ‘arms’ are great for clipping the fabric taunt. PVC beanbag standacrylic block picture maternity floral head piecesBRANDING for photography studio
