This gorgeous mama was absolutely glowing during this entire session and I can’t get enough of it! Her beauty radiates, I just love her sweet pregnancy glow. That is one thing I will never get tired of in shooting these maternity sessions is the genuine smiles these women have. I tell mamas to thinking of the moment they can hold their baby safely in their arms for the first time. It is truly a miracle to see how joyful these sessions are. This one was taken in a local outdoor space in Yorba Linda , Southern Orange County California. Surely this would explain the warm sunshine background in all these photos in the middle of winter! I love the natural background for maternity sessions because I feel it brings out how natural and miraculous carrying your child for nine months is. Moms- you know what I’m saying! The happiness our kids bring us is like no other. For this session, the client opted to have her hair and makeup done in studio by our talented stylist. She also used clothing from our client closet to compliment the outdoor location. I encourage clients to come in studio to try on dresses, skirts and floral crowns before the session so they can come in stress free knowing what exciting options are available to them. Melissa’s makeup and hair were so gorgeous and went perfectly with her outfits. To help with your session, I have a personal professional makeup and hair artist. I also have lots of maternity clothes and kids clothes to help coordinate the outfits! To see her little girl be so happy to get another sibling soon was a beautiful thing too. This whole session was filled with so many smiles, giggles, and love. The way I like to capture it is to never pose the family. Getting natural shots and just capturing the family as they mess around ensures that I will get the perfect candid shots so the pictures capture the precious memories this family holds perfectly.
